Volunteer

Dear Listeners,

Do you have a passion for narration? Are you interested in serving the community and making a difference through your voice? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Defense Documents Narrated is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team of narrators.
At Defense Documents Narrated, we strive to make information accessible to everyone. We believe that knowledge is a powerful tool, and having the ability to understand and engage with defense-related documents is crucial in fostering an informed society and military.
As a volunteer narrator, you will have the chance to lend your voice to a wide range of defense documents, including policies, strategies, and analyses. Working closely with our volunteer team, you will play a vital role in transforming complex written content into engaging audio narratives.

Requirements:
1. Clear and Articulate Voice: We are searching for individuals with excellent diction, tone, and pronunciation. A confident and expressive voice will captivate our listeners and enhance their understanding of the material.
2. Passion for Defense and National Security: A history as a US military member is mandatory; however, this is integrity based. As a not-for-profit volunteer organization we do not have the time or resources to verify the military credentials of all volunteers.
3. Reliability and Time Commitment: We appreciate reliability and dedication. Volunteer narrators will be expected to complete the narration of the publication they’ve volunteered to narrate within a reasonable time frame. Ex. It should not take a year to narrate a 300 page document.
4. Quality Consciousness: Attention to detail is crucial when narrating complex texts. We value narrators who take pride in their work, striving for professionalism, accuracy, and clarity.
5. Cooperative Spirit: Our team at Defense Documents Narrated fosters a collaborative and supportive environment. We encourage volunteers to actively contribute ideas, feedback, and suggestions to ensure the continuous improvement of our narrations.

How to Volunteer:
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer narrator with Defense Documents Narrated, please fill the form above, provide us with a brief description of your background and why you would like to be a part of our team, and please let us know a publication you are interested in narrating. If you have an audio sample already prepared, please email us at contact@ddnarrated.com. In your email, attach a short voice sample (pre-recorded or a link to a sample online) so that we can assess your speaking skills. Please do not include a picture of yourself in your volunteer application, any applications with picture or video of themselves will be declined.

Benefits:
Becoming a volunteer narrator offers numerous benefits, including:
1. Opportunity for Personal Growth: Enhance your communication and public speaking skills while expanding your knowledge in defense-related topics.
2. Community Engagement: Contribute your time and talent to make a difference, helping others understand defense documents and fostering informed decision-making.
3. Networking and Skill Building: Join a dynamic team of professionals and connect with like-minded individuals who share your interest in defense and national security matters.
4. Recognition: Your contributions will be acknowledged and credited, highlighting your dedication and expertise as a narrator.
5. Positive Impact: By making defense documents accessible through narration, you enable a wider audience to engage with important information and contribute to the democratic process.
At Defense Documents Narrated, we believe that knowledge is power, and we aim to empower individuals through the spoken word. Join our team of volunteer narrators and help us bridge the gap between the written text and the spoken word. Together, let's make a lasting impact!

Sincerely,
